Hilltoppers, our over-50 group, will be traveling to historic Chelsea, Oklahoma, for a fun step back in time. We will visit the home of Will Rogers’ sister, Sally, and the office of Clem McSpadden, Will’s famous great-nephew. We will eat lunch at the Hogue home in Chelsea. This home was purchased from the Sears catalog and delivered ready-to-assemble by boxcar. On our way home we will drive by the home of another sister of Will Rogers, Maud. Then we’ll pass the cemetery where Will’s parents and other relatives are buried. We will walk through the recently-renovated pedestrian tunnel that goes right under Rt. 66 and perhaps leave our names on the new painted mural.
Time: 5:45 PM
Join us every Thursday night for a meal and the Word. The meal begins at 5:45 with worship immediately following.
