About Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones Learning Center (SSLC) is a ministry of Claremore First United Methodist Church. We were first established in 1999 as a Mother’s Day Out program and then in 2006, became a DHS licensed, part-time childcare facility. We are proud to have an excellent, loving, and knowledgeable staff that truly cares about the students and families that we care for. Our focus is to provide our students with the stepping-stones they need for their education and also their faith.

Our Philosophy

SSLC’s philosophy is based on the belief that early Christian education provides an essential part of the development and growth of an individual. It is the desire of the Center to guide and nurture each child, which will enable students to reach their God-given potential. SSLC is open to children and families of all faiths. Our message is: God loves us and cares for us.

SSLC provides children with the opportunity to learn through play by using early childhood developmentally appropriate practices.
