The Care Ministries are strongly supported by a team of Congregational Care Ministers or CCMs and Stephen Ministers or SM. CCMs and SMs are lay volunteers who work alongside pastors and staff to minister and care for the people of our congregation and our community. These volunteers use their gifts and graces to be the ultimate partner in ministry with the clergy and staff. CCMs and SMs are trained and empowered to make hospital visits, call people in need of contact, meet one-on-one with individuals in need of a listening ear for prayer and encouragement, offer support to grieving families and proactively seek to encourage and care for persons in need.
Our next training for volunteer Congregational Care Ministers will be Mondays, September 24 to October 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Central Campus. If you have the gifts of mercy and compassion, and a desire to service, you are invited to explore Congregational Care Ministry. Contract Frances Ibáñez at 918-341-4580, ext. 331.
