Join us for the semi-annual HUGE Garage Sale Friday, October 5, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 6, from at 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The Family Life Center and parking lot at Central Campus will be filled with great treasures of all types. Grilled burgers will be sold during the sale on Friday and maybe Saturday.
Without volunteers, the church garage sale cannot take place. We need your help during the following times:
- Wednesday after 8:00 p.m.
- Thursday 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
- Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Saturday 8:00 a.m. until the church is ready for Sunday morning services
If you have a truck or trailer, you are especially needed to help pick up furniture and appliance donations and bring them to the church. A sign up sheet is available at the Welcome Desk or you may register online by clicking here (tell us when you will be volunteering and if you have a truck or trailer in the notes section).
Volunteers are always welcome and greatly appreciated. Knowing when you are coming helps us plan! If you just show up, we WILL put you to work, but we would love to know in advance.
If your high school or college student needs community service points for an organization, this is a great way to get them! Those wanting community service hours will need to sign up in advance at the Welcome Desk or online by clicking here. We need to know your name, phone number, the time, day, and number of hours you plan to work. When you arrive, you will need to sign in at the garage sale desk and sign out again when you leave.
Drop Off Donations:
Donations will be accepted Wednesday, October 3, after 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, October 4, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If you have furniture and working appliance donations that you need picked up, please call the church at 918-341-4580 no later than Wednesday, October 3, to make arrangements for pick up on October 4. When you call, we will need your name, address, phone number, and a description of the items you are planning to donate. We do not have any place to store your donations before 8:00 p.m. October 3.
Donations that cannot be accepted:
Due largely to lack of space, we are NOT able to accept most clothing. We CAN accept coats and shoes in good condition. Clothing items can be dropped off at Second Impressions Resale on Cherokee, Goodwill on Lynn Riggs, or the Hope Harbor drop off container in the Children’s Center parking lot.
As in previous years, we CANNOT accept large televisions, large computer monitors, or broken items. Thank you for keeping quality items in our garage sale. We CAN accept flat-screen televisions and flat-screen monitors that are in good working order. Spread the word!
The entire Claremore community will be looking for treasures at our semi-annual First United Methodist Church gigantic garage sale. The Family Life Center will be transformed into a bargain hunters paradise filled with everything you can imagine. We look forward to seeing you at this amazing two-day sale. If you have any questions, you may call the church office at 918-341-4580.
