Kairos Prison Ministry provides an Emmaus-type weekend at a correctional facility. October 4 to 7 is a Kairos weekend at Dick Connor Correctional Facility in Hominy, Oklahoma, and our church is offering support in a number of ways. You are invited to help those who feel they have no hope find forgiveness in Jesus Christ, and learn they are loved.
Approximately 5,000 dozen cookies (60,000 cookies) are needed for one weekend! We will be supplying cookies to the October Kairos weekend as well as a weekend at Mabel Bassett Correctional Center (a women’s facility). The big Family Life Center kitchen is available Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. until September 29 for groups to bake cookies for Kairos Prison Ministry. If you can get a group together for cookie baking, you will need to contact Tim at 918-829-2431 so he can unlock the kitchen for you. If you would like to make a donation for cookie supplies, click here and designate your donation “Kairos Cookies.”
If you would like to help by baking cookies at home then deliver them to the church, you may do so. However, only specific cookie recipes are allowed to be taken into the prison. Click here for a printable copy of the cookie recipes.

Pray for the Weekend
The weekend cannot be successful without your prayers. Please pray for the team, participants, the whole prison, chaplain, warden, and officers. A paper chain will be created for the weekend. Everyone who prays for the weekend will have their name written on a link of the chain. At some point in the weekend, the chain will be brought in, surrounding the participants. Learn how you can have your name on the prayer chain by emailing Tim
Be Part of the Support Team
The support team works out of a church in Hominy during the weekend. Team members are needed to be kitchen crew, runners, cookie packers, and cleaners.
Join the Inside Team
To be part of the team going into the prison, you will need certain clearances and possible training. If you feel like God is calling you to be part of this team, contact Tim.

Make a Donation
It takes approximately $175 per participant to put on each 4-day weekend. If you feel led to give a financial gift, it will be gratefully accepted. You may make your check out to “Kairos Oklahoma” (memo DCCC #27).
You may also sponsor a “meal ticket” by donating in increments of $10 (for one meal ticket) as many times as you wish. The meal tickets go out with the placemats and are a great way to make a big difference.
