500 years ago, on October 31, Martin Luther nailed his ninety-five theses to the door of a church in Wittenberg, Germany, and began the Protestant Reformation. The movie, which follows his adventurous life, includes political intrigue, kidnappings, and life-or-death showdowns. “The world is a different place today because of Martin Luther,” said Pastor Ray Crawford. He is encouraging members of the congregation to join others in the Claremore community to view the movie. It is a great way of learning more about our Methodist heritage and to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the birth of Protestantism.
