Kingdom People small group study at Claremore FUMC

Jesus says, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”  John 10:10b

In reality I sense too many Christians are not living the abundant life Jesus speaks of here.  Far too many are not living in the fullness of all God intends for them.  Often, Christians are living the “almost Christian” life, or the “partly Christian” life, rather than the “altogether Christian” life.  Casual Christianity is not the life God intended for God’s people. According to Romans 14:17 we are instead to live a life of “righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”  Instead many find themselves at a point where they think, “There’s got to be more to being a Christian than this!”   If this describes you and you’d like to deepen your relationship with God and grow in your faith, Kingdom People just might be for you!

Do you want to “Leave the Common Life Behind, and Take the Journey from Casual to Complete Christian?”

If your answer is yes, consider joining a small group of church leaders and other disciples who are making the commitment to being Kingdom People! Kingdom People are those who have made the decision that they are going to live for God and not for themselves!  Kingdom People have made a conscious decision and commitment to be all that God placed them on earth to be, as a child of God as both a recipient and representative of God’s Kingdom.

The church will be offering Kingdom People this fall. Class times will be set to accommodate as many people and schedules as we can.

Kingdom People is not a Bible Study, but a small group study experience based on Biblical Principles. Participation in 12, 2 ½ hour weekly sessions is mandatory. Group members will want to allow 2 ½ hours of preparation during their week, prior to the group time. Because of the 12 week mandatory participation the class may run longer than 12 weeks. Kingdom People is for those who have a strong desire to make a serious commitment to intentional faith growth and development. The Kingdom People Guidebook and Textbook is $35.

For more information about joining the group, please contact Rev. Janelle Brammer, facilitator.
